Guest interview with Lee Hicken, Hebe Media Hebe Media ran a very successful social media campaign for Marketing Leeds in Barcelona earlier...
The six are Business Ambassadors chosen by Minister for Yorkshire and the Humber Rosie Winterton, who will attend the launch event at BT in Leeds, on Friday 16 October 2009.
Rosie Winterton MP said: "This is a real opportunity for businesses to tap into the wealth of experience from some of our region's top business leaders and get advice on how they can respond in these challenging times. The events are also a great chance to network with other business people and to swap ideas and tips."
Success on Tour is funded and supported by Yorkshire Forward. Business Ambassador hosts, from November 2009 through to March 2010 include, Gordon Bridge, Kevin Whiteman, Neil Turton, Richard Gregory and John Foster.
Managing Director of BT regions, John Anderson, launches the series on Friday, 16 October 2009 at the Leeds city centre office, Sovereign Street. The talk and tour from 8am-9.30am explains how BT's vision of a paperless office and flexible working is benefitting the business and its customers.
John Anderson said: "When BT moved into the new Leeds office, that mirrors many more BT buildings around the UK, the design of the building was the catalyst for changing how we work. We will be sharing with delegates some of the benefits of working in our new work-style building and explain how we managed our employees concerns so that now, no one would want to go back to the old ways of working."
Designed to help businesses of any size learn to do something new in an affordable way, each visit will explain how Yorkshire's business leaders have overcome different business challenges to stay competitive. Pre-booking is required for all visits. For full details and bookings go to www.successontour.com
Margaret Wood, a Business Ambassador and Regional Chairman of the Institute of Directors is urging business organisations, trade bodies and Chambers of Commerce to encourage their members to take full advantage of the Success on Tour visits.
Margaret Wood said: "Every business will take away something from these visits that they can adapt and implement in their own organisation. Finding out about new and affordable ways to grow sales, get innovations to market, to provide staff training and to continue marketing during a recession are relevant and timely themes, for all organisations."
If business people cannot attend the events in person great tips and advice will be accessible via the Success on Tour website following each visit.
