Helen West, chief executive of Business Link Yorkshire said: "We had 60 entries overall and the standard was very high with really inspiring ideas for other businesses. All the entrants are incredibly positive and many have used the current economy to rethink what they do - and are having their best year ever as a result. Their stories are so inspirational we have extended our shortlist from 10 to 13.

Yorkshire's Business Ambassadors, chosen by Minister for Yorkshire and the Humber, Rosie Winterton will judge and mentor the ten competition winners.
All the shortlisted entrants win £250 tickets to the Yorkshire International Business Convention in Harrogate or Bridlington, where four Gold winners and six Silver runners up will be announced on 5 June.
At both venues Business Link Yorkshire will promote the achievements of the finalists and other businesses will find useful tips and advice they can take back to their own companies.
