Bradford University School of Management has appointed four internationally recognised business leaders to its Advisory Board.

The new members are Salman Dawood Abdulla, vice president, operations of Emirates Aluminium based in Abu Dhabi; Peter Foy – former managing director of McKinsey & Co UK and chairman of Baring Brothers International, now chairman of Creative Tank Ltd; Aleem Sheikh – vice president of strategic partnerships of BP, based in Beijing; and Kate Swann, group chief executive of WH Smith PLC.

The School is ranked in Europe’s top business schools for its MBA programme, which is now run as a global campus – the syllabus is designed so that students can take different modules at any of their programmes in the UK, Perugia, Philippines, Dubai, Poland and Singapore.

Dr Sarah Dixon, dean of the School, said:  “These appointments will ensure we are top of the skills and agenda for global businesses in these challenging times.  They are helping us to shape our services for business, as well as our employability skills and the curriculum of our MBA.

“We are delighted that our alumnus, Kate Swann is continuing her support of the School by becoming an advisory board member.

“We are planning to hold a number of events to enable businesses to meet and work with our board members – our next will be in London in February.”
