Northern Lights is an award-winning marketing and public relations consultancy.
Based in Harrogate, Northern Lights was founded in 1989 by Victoria Tomlinson, a former director of Ernst & Young.
We handle the full range of PR activities from developing marketing strategies to media relations, customer research and event organising. However, our clients say we deliver much more than PR. They come to us for strategic advice, for our networking contacts and our ability to think outside the box.
In fact we are more like a critical friend: offering personal support, acting as a sounding board for directors and passionate about making a difference and adding value to their businesses.
 How we workOur approach is hands-on and always focused on measurable goals. The way we work is to: - Define measurable goals at the outset
- Use research to understand your business and customers and how best to communicate your message
- Develop a clear plan of action with agreed milestones and budgets
- Create and project manage PR activities, bringing in specialist skills needed appropriate to each client: designers, photographers, website designers, DVD producers, newspaper clipping services
- Evaluate every stage objectively and, if necessary, adapt our work until goals are achieved
